The purpose is to discuss UK law. Giving advice is discouraged, for reasons given below, but we hope you will be able to gain information that will help you work out a way forward.
Please follow a few simple rules.
It is best to stay anonymous, and not to name others involved in your case. That includes companies. For example, if you are up against North Wessex Bank PLC, you don’t need to name the bank but can simply refer to “a bank”.
And remember that if you post too much detail, other parties who find their way here may be able to identify that you are talking about the case involving them. I have seen this happen on a previous law discussion forum.
So please think about the detail you provide.
Please remember that this is an internet forum. You may not easily be able to tell whether another poster is an expert in the field or is just another person on the internet who does not have sufficient knowledge or experience.
If you really need advice, the best advice I can give is to find another source of assistance.
I mean it. Offenders may well be banned. So:
– No bad language. No rudeness to or about others. No discrimination.
– Be friendly to newcomers – all are welcome.
– Please do not disrespect the moderators.
It puts people off.
Trolling will not be tolerated here. We understand some seek pleasure from their trolling behaviour but this conduct is not shared by those who genuinely want to use a board for its rightful purpose.
We reserve the right to edit and remove posts and in some extreme cases, ban users. Please take note of the following:
